What is Thasis Radio Network?
Thasis Radio Network is an internet radio platform that aggregates 23 distinct music channels, each with its own personality and live DJs. It’s a product of Thasis LLC, a Fort Lauderdale-based company that also offers radio consulting and production services. The network aims to provide a radio experience that feels both personal and expansive, with hand-picked music across every genre and decade.
The platform is built around the idea of live, programmed radio rather than on-demand playlists. This means listeners can enjoy a curated flow of music, hosted by real personalities who add context and connection. The network also includes a Jukebox feature that displays what’s playing across all stations in near real-time, allowing users to hop between channels based on the current song.
What stands out
Jukebox Feature
The Jukebox is a standout tool that shows what’s playing on every station simultaneously. This makes it incredibly easy to discover new music or jump to a specific song you want to hear. It’s a simple but powerful concept that enhances the listening experience.
Live DJs and Voice Messages
Each station features live DJs who bring a human touch to the programming. Listeners can even record a 30-second voice message and send it directly to a station, potentially getting it aired. This interactive element fosters a sense of community and engagement.
Sleep Timer and Alarm
The built-in sleep timer and alarm are practical features that allow users to fall asleep to their favorite station or wake up to it. These are integrated directly into the player, making them easy to access and use.
Concert Finder
The Concert Finder, powered by Ticketmaster, helps users locate upcoming concerts near them or nationwide. This adds a live-music dimension to the platform, connecting the online listening experience with real-world events.
Minimal Commercials
With only about three minutes of ads per hour, Thasis Radio Network offers a near-commercial-free experience. This is a significant advantage for listeners who find constant interruptions disruptive.
Who it’s for
Thasis Radio Network is ideal for anyone who loves radio but is tired of the limited choices and heavy advertising on traditional FM. It’s perfect for music enthusiasts who enjoy discovering new songs and artists across genres. The platform also appeals to those who appreciate the human touch of live DJs and interactive features like voice messages.
Whether you’re a casual listener looking for background music or a dedicated audiophile exploring different genres, Thasis offers something for everyone.
